Set-top Boxes and Digital Televisions Located Germany
Reporting to the Sales Director, Europe, this role is responsible for managing and increasing the sales of the company's technologies and will be focused on business relationships with Set-top Box and Digital TV accounts.
Main Duties:
• Develop account plans and design win strategies with agreed revenue goals and targets, in line with the overall market segment strategy. • Execute on these plans to achieve targets • To work within a team of Sales Managers and sales support staff of administration, and Field Applications Engineers as needed. • Accurately forecast annual and quarterly revenue streams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Relevant business, engineering degree or equivalent. Proven and relevant sales experience, including negotiation and closure of business agreements, with field sales management experience. Should come from the consumer side of Broadcast, set-top box company or chip set companies working for set-top boxes
• Knowledge of audio and/or video in consumer electronic products is desirable. Experience should include exposure to at least one of the following areas: DSP, SW development and/or licensing programs, analog and digital circuitry, broadcast receiver products and broadcast technologies. • Demonstrably excellent selling skills, time management, communications, decision making, interpersonal skills, presentation and organization skills. Professional appearance and presentation required. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Interest in music, games or films desirable. • International travel and work experience (including Eastern Europe) desirable. • Thorough knowledge of company's technologies and license pricing practices will be provided.

Key responsibilities: • Provide systems support at a detail level to broadcast, mobile and online customers. • Support and resolve new or problematic issues HD, SD and mobile delivery in the use of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Pulse, Dolby Digital and Dolby E technologies. Where necessary provide on-site support to customers. • Support broadcast online and mobile product management functions. • Evaluate new products and technologies in-house before release to customers or beta programmers and liaise with development teams as appropriate. • Create technical documentation e,g, standard operational practices or guides on equipment setup where these are required by the team. Ensure documentation is distributed appropriately to those who need it. • Provide relevant technical analysis and direction to other members of the EMEA or worldwide team as they support broadcast customers and sales channels across the entire programme chain from ingest to multiplex. This will increasingly include Mobile TV and Online TV.
Essential Skills:
• Detailed knowledge of digital TV broadcast systems, with detailed hands-on experience of broadcast products • Degree or equivalent in Science, Electronic Engineering • Music Technology, Computer Science or Information Technology • In-depth knowledge of standard computer hardware and software will be expected as will an interest in audio • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential; written and verbal interactions with customers singly and in groups are a major part of the job • Able to work proactively and work on own initiative • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
