Client: Company is a very well established multichannel broadcaster based in Dubai.  They are the leading media organisation in the region with a large and loyal audience, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

Reason for role:  The company was undergoing major technology transformation and the Group Director of IT & Engineering wanted an experienced broadcast engineering manager to lead a large team through the change and beyond.

Key requirements:

• Ability to resolve technical issues and stablise current operation
• Work with other departments to build and manager the transition to a software centric environment based on tapeless technology
• Experience in broadcast engineering management including relevant file based technologies
• Crucially cultural experience within a similarly located business

We focused on finding candidates with senior management experience in a similar environment either already based in the region, or looking to return to the Middle East.  Following a global search the successful candidate with extensive Middle Eastern experience was appointed.
