A supplier of satellite communications, digital television and electronic products for the media and communications industry had developed a clear vision which involved step function growth. In order to achieve this they restructured and expanded the senior team and as a result created a new position at board level for a Director to assume responsibility for worldwide sales and marketing.
The ideal candidate needed to have well developed leadership skills, proven senior level sales & marketing management experience and be capable of strategic thought whilst driving forward sales.
The method used was to undertake an executive search in each of the 3 main sectors the company was engaged in. After a period of 6 weeks a shortlist was produced for company interview. The successful candidate was taken from the digital TV sector – this was the area where the company had a relatively lower profile. Now after a successful period in post, the new Sales & Marketing Director has continued to develop all sectors of the business whilst moving the company forward in Broadcast/Digital TV and worldwide markets.
